Texas has the most Walmart stores per capita in the United States. They account for roughly 11% of all Walmart sites. Florida and California are next, with 341 and 279 Walmart locations, respectively.
Walmart’s store distribution policy is heavily influenced by population density. As a result, the majority of its stores are located in or near densely populated areas.
The Kroger Co. operates grocery stores in 39 states across the United States. They are mostly found in the Midwest and Southwest of the United States. California is first with 300 locations, accounting for 9% of The Kroger Co.’s total store count in the United States. With 284 and 209 stores, respectively, Ohio and Texas are next in line.
Kroger operates nearly 1300 grocery stores in 18 states in the United States, with Ohio leading the pack. It has 217 Kroger stores, accounting for around 16% of the total Kroger stores. Texas and Georgia are next in line, with 209 and 168 locations, respectively.
The majority of Publix outlets may be found in the Southeast. With 844 stores, Florida takes the top spot on the list, accounting for almost 64% of all Publix locations. California (246), Washington (179), and Arizona are the states with the most Safeway Inc. shops (102). The Safeway Inc. grocery business is popular on the west coast and operates in 18 states across the United States.
In comparison to the western and central sections of the country, the eastern states of the United States have a higher number of IGA store locations. The states having the first and most IGA grocery stores nationwide (61), accounting for 7% of the total number, are North Carolina and Kentucky. With 60 shop locations, Ohio is ranked second on the list.
New York has the most Shiloh Farms locations in the United States. It has 158 supermarket stores and contributes to 27 percent of the country’s 578 Shiloh Farms locations. With 115 and 63 stores, respectively, Pennsylvania and New Jersey are next in line.
Shiloh Farms locations are concentrated in the eastern half of the country, with only a few scattered across the middle and western regions. Their stores can be found in 42 states across the United States.
